Hyaluronic acid plays a vital role in many physiological functions: cellular protection and joint lubrication, structural tissue integrity, molecule and cell transport, cell migration, function, and differentiation, and the regulation of fluid retention.
Sodium hyaluronate is the stable and orally absorbable form of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid plays an important role in many physiological functions: cell protection and joint lubrication; participates in the structural integrity of tissues; transport of molecules and cells; migration, cell function and differentiation; regulation of fluid retention. It is an important component of the intercellular matrix. In joints, it is found in the synovial fluid, where it nourishes the articular cartilage and acts as a lubricant (smoothing bone movement), in addition to absorbing the impacts caused by the animal's movement. It is the compound that gives the synovial fluid its viscosity. Because it helps maintain joint cells, it is often used for horses that suffer great joint stress due to strenuous exercise.
Hyaluronic acid is an important component of the intercellular matrix and is present in the composition of cartilage. It is also found in synovial fluid, where it is responsible for nourishing the cartilage and providing the lubrication and viscoelasticity essential for shock absorption.
SSN HA 150 provides 300mg of hyaluronic acid per 30mL. It is packaged in 15mL sachets and is recommended to be administered orally, one sachet twice a day, during or immediately after a meal. After two weeks of use, or after achieving the expected result, the dose can be reduced to one sachet once a day as a maintenance dose.
Especially useful after surgical procedures. The positive effect of hyaluronic acid is attributed to its anti-inflammatory activity, its promotion of cell proliferation and collagen deposition, and its ability to increase lubrication on the tendon surface.
