The tradition of cowboys spans many generations of the Medeiros family and makes Jânio Elpídio de Medeiros' history in the world of horses intertwine with his birth.
The heart of a cowboy has been beating strong since he was a child. Jânio grew up on the back of a horse and running vaquejadas has been a routine that has been with him since he was very young.
After seven years away from competitions due to college in mathematics, the strong connection with horses and the world of vaquejadas brought him back in 2017, when he acquired a mixed-breed quarter mile named Xodó, who lived up to his name and became a member of the family, giving Jânio back the podium and the return of competitions.
In September of the same year, Stela Bingo Bug joined the family. At the time, a promising one-year-old horse, who over the course of nine years, transformed past expectations into current reality and converted dreams and daydreams into trophies and championships accumulated over the years. Stela Bingo Bug, in 2024, took the cowboy Segundo Meneses to the mark of fourth best cowboy in the Improved category of the Jacu de Vaquejada Circuit, the biggest vaquejada championship in Seridó.
This return to vaquejadas and the love for the sport required a larger structure to meet the needs and professionalism of this dedication. Thus, Jânio left Natal and bought the Medeiros Ranch in Santa Luzia - PB, an investment that houses high-performance quarter horses and grows exponentially every day.
The passionate dedication to Vaquejada and the Seridó Region grows ever greater, and in 2022 vaquejada.serido.pb.rn was born, an Instagram page dedicated to promoting vaquejada throughout the Seridó region. A vehicle that with great professionalism, serious work, commitment and information, has become hegemonic by providing a very important service to the sport and the entire sector.
A special note, in 2024, begins indirectly, our bond with this great athlete named Jânio Elpídio de Medeiros. Due to her great performance and winning streak, the unbeatable Stela Bingo Bug, a spectacular mare weighing almost 600kg, begins to be supplemented to maintain her unparalleled ability to win prizes. Through Gammabolic, sold by our long-time partner Marcelo Dantas from MD Suplementos in Caicó-RN, the story of these champions comes to Farex do Brasil.
