The Ituverava rodeo has always been a dream of Bianca Navarro, who lived in the city for a long time and it is a place that holds a special place in her heart.
This edition of Ituverava Rodeo Music was also special, returning to the national scene after an 11-year hiatus. The event, which took place from June 5 to 7 this year, is one of the biggest cowboy festivals in the region, bringing together big names in music such as Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano and top-level competitors who challenged Bianca Navarro and Fly Leo FZ in every way.
During training on Thursday before the rodeo, our athlete Fly stepped on a rock and felt his hoof. After a series of tests and cautious clearance, the apprehension about what it would be like was as great as the expectation of participating in the event.
On the first pass, Fly slipped on the barrel lap and even though she was ranked eighth, her husband and faithful partner Gilberto Santana encouraged Bianca to do one more lap around the circuit, a flawless lap that guaranteed her first place in the final and the fastest time of the event with an astonishing 14.702.
Worried about Fly's health, Bianca even considered not competing in the final, because even with ice after the qualifying round, Fly Leo FZ could still feel his hand. Even though the vet assured her that he was fine, her heart told her that he wasn't 100%.
Read the Champion's words: "The vet said he was fine, but I felt in my heart that he did have something. So I talked to him. People say that horses don't understand us, but I know they do. I asked him, what do you want? Do you want to go or do you want to run? Then he started walking around the paddock, playing and running, and in my heart I understood that this was a yes, I want to run. So we went to the final and he was crowned champion. It was a very special and very emotional rodeo for me, a dream come true."
It was a spectacle in itself and a show of determination and overcoming by Fly Leo FZ and Bianca Navarro, who proved their professionalism, competence and strong will to everyone in each competition, a Braba who is not afraid of a challenge and a good rodeo. As an added bonus, proving the quality of CT Bianca Navarro's work, her student also came in second place.
Congratulations Bianca, to you and our dear Fly, it is an immense honor to have you on the Farex Brazil team!
Oh, and we can't forget Gilberto, the guy who is our champion behind the scenes!
